Following is a description of some of the mental health services provided by the Cumberland River Comprehensive Care Center. A more extensive, non-detailed list is at the bottom of the page.
Outpatient Services include individual, couple, marital, family and group counseling as well as psychiatric services. Therapists are trained to assist with problems such as depression anxiety, marital, and/or family issues and with the more serious mental illnesses. Flexible and evening appointments are available upon request at all of our 11 outpatient offices. Mental health services are also provided in many schools throughout the eight-county region.
Case Management is available to persons with serious and persistent mental illness, as well as persons with mental retardation/developmental disabilities needing assistance with various medical, social, and community needs. Information and referral services are provided to individuals discharged from hospitals.
Therapeutic Rehabilitation (TR) is a goal-oriented intervention for individuals needing intensive psychosocial services, but not hospitalization. Program hours vary per consumer's individual needs for this day treatment program.
Social Drop In provides social opportunities for TR clients and others with mental health needs.
In-Patient Assistance offers a full referral service for in-patient hospitalization treatment needs for individuals from our eight-county area.
Emergency Assistance is a telephone or walk-in emergency service available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. After hours service also available. Please visit our emergency information page for details.
Transitional Living is offered by CRCCC to mentally ill adults who require residential programs. These fully staffed residential programs are located in Corbin and Harlan to serve individuals within our eight-county area.
